In a surprising crossover event that defies usual expectations, the game developer has revealed an virtual crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected Thanksgiving event runs from November 25 through December 22, providing free bonus story content for Shadows players.

According to the authorized announcement, "A strange encounter leads characters Naoe and Yasuke into a new mission, where whispers of prohibited practices and terrifying transformations echo through the darkness." The storyline introduces a "strangely attired woman named Ada" who assigns the characters with journeying into the Crystal Cave—a key location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her companion from a hidden sect.
The adventure focuses on "peculiar tests and a terrifying foe" and is accessible to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.
Recognizable Settings and Transformations
The trailer highlights the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This important location was formerly where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through ages. The trailer ends with a powerful sequence showing a character, likely the hostage, morphing into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.
