I will overwhelm 'legitimate combatant' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua
The British boxer prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-bout match which will be shown live on the streaming platform.
Briton Anthony Joshua said he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "break" his opponent as the pair met personally to promote the upcoming bout.
Former twice unified heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a mammoth disparity - at Miami Kaseya Center on December 19th.
Boxer's Attitude
"I'm going to break his face and hurt his body. I'm here to prove my superiority," Joshua, 35 years old, said.
"I will dominate him completely. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I intend to really want to cause him pain. That's my goal."
Civil Interaction
Despite such comments, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - typically famous for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and maintained decorum with each other.
Paul rather criticized ex Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "ridiculous" after Ngannou declined a bout proposal.
Targeting Fury
Anthony Joshua, at the same time, targeted UK rival Fury - and rejected a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a Paul win.
"Jake Paul is better than Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer said.
"I respect him for that."
Serious Opponent
Despite stating he plans to hurt Jake Paul, Joshua chose not to comment unfavorably about his opponent's fighting skills.
"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he stated.
Paul's History
Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has mainly boxed mixed martial artists or faded names since turning professional.
He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.

However, the novice remains one of the sport's greatest financial successes, regularly earning substantial financial rewards.

The 28 year old anticipated a KO victory in round four or five and claimed he would prevent the highly-expected Fury-Joshua bout, which is reportedly under discussion for two years from now.
"It will be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul said.
